Youth and Children's Programs
Founded in 1972, Northeast Center for Youth and Families (NCYF) serves more than 600 children and teens annually with a broad range of programs. With a comprehensive continuum of care, NCYF’s services include foster care and residential programs, in-home therapy, expressive arts therapy, after school programming, and the Tri-County Schools for special-needs youth. Our mission is to provide kids with the stability, skills and support they need to successfully rejoin their families and communities.

What is your primary product or service?
Our Mission is to provide children, teens, and their families with the stability, skills and support they need to succeed in their homes, schools and communities. Those we serve have complex, serious emotional needs, mental health and behavioral problems. Many experienced trauma. Our continuum of care includes educational (K-12 Tri-County Schools, After-School Programs), clinical (Family Support and In-Home Therapy), and residential treatment programs (Group Homes and Foster Care). Our centralized intake helps to ensure that services are coordinated so that children and families get the treatment they need and deserve. Our motto is, “Every Child Deserves a Chance”.
How do you differentiate yourself from other businesses in your category and area?
We serve ALL children. Unlike public schools or many other human service agencies, we do not reject children for school or other services due to emotional problems, behavior problems or mental health issues. Children may begin in our school programs at any time during the year, including summers. All children receive bus/van transportation to our school and after-school programs.
